A MUST HAVE!!!

I got mine a few years ago and it's been great for all of the traveling my family does. The only reason I need to get a new one is because someone liked it so much that they stole it out of my car. I found out real fast just how much it became a part of my car and a necessity for my family.

Whether we are going to an appointment 2 hours away or making that cross country journey to visit family... this is definitely something that needs to be in my car to keep things charged and to use for other things I would have never thought of. It's something that we go nowhere without it.

Solid choice

This is the second inverter I've bought for my car. The first failed miserably. It wouldn't power my laptop and ultimately it shorted out and was a piece of junk. I found the Duracell inverter at a local Target and decided to give it a try. It has been great! It's nice having multiple outlets along with the extra USB ports, but most important, it just works. Every time I need to use it this device powers whatever I've thrown at it. It's definitely worth it if you have the need for a product like this.

General Questions

No, there is no internal battery.

There may not be enough voltage to power what you have plugged in. To reset it, turn the unit off, disconnect the unit, unplug everything. Carefully re-connect the unit, turn it on, and then plug in your items.

Volts refers to the DC input Voltage that your inverter is connected to; watts refers to what you have plugged into the inverter. AC Watts output

The fan is designed to come on only when the inverter reaches a pre-set temperature to save the draw on your battery.

  1. Check the voltage at the unit with the load and see if it is drawing the battery below 11 volts.
  2. The input cables may be too long, and the voltage drop along the input cables may be causing the Low Battery alarm to sound.

The inverter is in Overload protection mode. The AC output is turned off.

No, but you can hook up a solar panel with a solar controller up to a 12 v battery to charge up the battery. However the inverter must be turned off.

Although you can use your lithium battery, you will not get the full usage of your lithium ion battery, because the safety settings are designed for the limitations of a lead acid battery.

The inverter will shut down when the battery supplying the energy is too low. If your battery is connected to your car, please start the engine with no load on the inverter to recharge your battery before reconnecting the load. If you are in an RV, the batteries are usually auxiliary batteries, so it will have no affect in the ability for your RV to start.

The fuses inside of our inverters are not meant to be replaced. If the fuse is blown, the inverter needs to be replaced. Please Call Customer Support

Yes, and this is the ONLY fuse that can be replaced. You simply unscrew the end of the adapter, and the fuse is inside. It will slide out. If your load was over 15 amps, that fuse will blow, and need to be replaced with another 15 amp fuse.

If you cross connected the inverter input cables to the battery source, it will cause the internal fuses to blow, and they can not be replaced. If you exceed 15 amps in the CLA, that will cause the fuse to blow, even if it is below the available wattage of the inverter.

The vast majority of laptops can be used with the 175 watt inverter.

Sealed Lead Acid batteries self discharge over time. Even if your battery is new, you will need to keep it charged and maintained to be able to power your items through the inverter.

  1. Check the voltage at the unit with the load and see if it is drawing the battery below 11 volts.
  2. The input cables may be too long, and the voltage drop along the input cables may be causing the Low Battery alarm to sound.
